  • Ashlee Thrash from Mesquite Campus Awarded as TBP’s District Teacher of the Year

    On May 17, a group of students and staff members from TBP’s Mesquite Campus helped to celebrate Ashlee Thrash being awarded as the TBP/Liberty Capital Bank District Teacher of the Year.   Thrash teaches grades 1st to 7th Special Education Functional Living Skills at Mesquite. She has been teaching for 11 years, and this is her second year with TBP.

  • HHM to Provide Medical and Behavioral Health Services at On-Site Jefferson Campus Clinic

    Beginning in early June, TBP’s Jefferson Campus will be the site of HHM Health, an on-site Federally Qualified Health Center for primary care in Dallas and surrounding counties.  HHM Health provides care for those who do not have insurance as well as those who have insurance, including Medicaid, Medicare, Affordable Care Act plans, and regular insurance.

  • TBP Announces Plans for Future 2023-24 Home for 10th Street Campus

    Following Dallas City Council approval of rezoning on January 26, last week, TBP closed on the $10MM acquisition of the existing 33,000 square foot Tyler Street Christian Academy (TSCA) campus located on five acres at 915 W. 9th Street in Dallas, which is one block north on the opposite side of the street from the current 10th Street Campus building.

  • TBP Campuses Honor Board Members During School Board Appreciation Week

    During the School Board Meeting scheduled for Monday, January 24, each TBP Board Member was presented with a custom-made gift basket from one of TBP’s campuses as a way of showing appreciation for their dedication to providing support and direction for the district over the past year.   • After-School Program Launches on Jan. 24

    On January 24, 2022, Clayton Youth Enrichment (CYE) will be expanding its current Panola campus Afterschool Program to TBP’s Ledbetter and Mesquite Campuses. Each campus will have an enrollment cap of about 50 students per campus, with the goal of expanding to all TBP campuses with a larger enrollment capacity on fall 2022.

  • Bolt Campus Progress Continues Toward August 2022 Opening

    While the project has faced some difficulties due to ongoing supply chain disruption, TBP’s Bolt Campus is still currently on track to open as TBP’s next middle school in August 2022. The new Bolt Campus, adjacent to TBP’s existing Pafford Campus, will host 4-6 sections of 5th through 8th grade students beginning in August.

  • 10th Street Campus Honors Texas Rep. Anchía with Charter Champions Award

    TBP’s 10th Street Campus hosted Texas State Representative Rafael Anchía to present him with the Texas Public Charter Schools Association (TPCSA) Charter Champions award for his support of legislation favorable to public charter schools during the 2021 legislative session.

  • Mindful Music Moments to Begin this Fall at TBP Campuses

    Several TBP campuses will soon be implementing the Mindful Music Moments program in partnership with the Dallas Symphony Orchestra (DSO) to provide students each school day with a few minutes of mindfulness time accompanied by classical music.

  • Kids Vision for Life Bus Visits Tarrant County Campuses; Dallas County Campuses Up Next

    Each year, TBP hosts the Kids Vision for Life bus to provide students with free eye health and vision exams and, as needed, fittings for a new pair of glasses. This comprehensive program allows students to try on different types of frames and have their lenses cut and set in their frames on-site so that the student goes home that same day with their new set of glasses.

  • TBP to Implement Conscious Discipline Approach for Students

    While the impacts of the COVID-19 Pandemic on social and emotional development in students is just starting to be understood, TBP’s focus social emotional learning (SEL) predates the pandemic and has led to new understandings and approaches. One of these new approaches, the use of the Conscious Discipline model, is another application of TBP’s overall focus on SEL.

  • New to TBP: TBP Establishes Counseling & Family Engagement Coordinator

    Based on TBP’s ongoing efforts to provide additional supports to help our student succeed, in summer 2021 TBP created the position of Counseling & Family Engagement Coordinator. Over the summer, former Pafford campus counselor Holly Vasquez was selected to take on this new role and the laundry list of goals associated with the position.

  • From Mexico to US Citizen: A Story of Two TBP Staffers

    Student Recruitment Manager Laura Rios and Enrollment Coordinator Yomaira Canales share this special distinction as both became US Citizens by taking their oath of office over the summer months. And as with everything during the pandemic, their naturalization ceremony was not exactly what they expected.
