Tyler Street Campus Celebrates Opening of New Inclusive Playground

Excitement filled Tyler Street Campus on Tuesday, August 4, as students, families, staff and district leaders gathered to celebrate the unveiling and ribbon cutting of the campus’ new inclusive playground.

Following the ceremonial ribbon cutting, students eagerly explored every part of the new play area. They climbed across the equipment, raced down the slides, enjoyed the swings and shared plenty of smiles as they experienced the playground for the first time.

The new playground was made possible by a generous $75,000 grant from the Hillcrest Foundation. The thoughtfully designed space provides students of varying ages and abilities with more opportunities to be active, build friendships and learn through play in a welcoming environment.

The project represents an important investment in the well-being and development of Tyler Street students. Beyond providing a place for recess, the playground will encourage movement, imagination, cooperation and meaningful social connections throughout the school day.

Trinity Basin Preparatory extends its sincere appreciation to the Hillcrest Foundation and to every employee, partner and community member who helped bring the project to life. The new playground will serve Tyler Street students for years to come, creating countless opportunities for laughter, discovery and lasting memories.
