Campfires and bookmarks: South Campus ignites love of reading
South Campus hosted its annual Literacy Night with a fun camping theme, bringing together students, parents, and teachers to celebrate reading and creativity.
“What an amazing night we had at South,” said Principal Aurdrey Mason. “It was heartwarming to see our families enjoying books together and sharing the joy of reading.”
Students participated in various camping-themed activities, including reading challenges around a pretend campfire, crafting bookmarks, and storytelling. The event aimed to foster excitement about literacy and encourage students to become lifelong readers.
“We are grateful to everyone who joined us and helped make this night so special,” Mason said. “It truly showcased the passion our community has for literacy.”
