We start with TBP Superintendent and CEO Randy Shaffer.
Trinity Basin Preparatory Superintendent and CEO Randy Shaffer brings a servant-leader mindset to his role, focusing on removing barriers and ensuring campuses have the resources they need to support students and staff. Often joking that he’s a “fireman,” Shaffer says his work centers on solving problems and putting the right people, tools, and support in place at the right time.
Shaffer's journey with Trinity Basin Preparatory began in the late 1990s when, as a practicing attorney and parent searching for the right school for his children, he became involved with a charter school board. That involvement grew into years of legal support for the district before he stepped into the superintendent role in 2007.
At the heart of his leadership is a belief that every student, family, and staff member should feel welcome and supported. Shaffer hopes campuses feel like an educational home—places where there is always someone to turn to and always a place to belong. “Regardless of what happens,” he shared, “we’re always going to be here for you. We have a place for you.”
