Math Framework
TBP will provide academically rigorous, on-grade-level and relevant mathematics instruction so that all students are empowered and prepared to be successful in higher-level mathematics and post-secondary life. We do this by developing critical thinking, problem-solving, and communications skills through classroom-based, real-world mathematical experiences. Our instructional approach balances deep conceptual understanding, procedural skills and fluency, and application while helping students see the coherence and connections within and across years and concepts. It also promotes an appreciation for the creative nature of discovery within mathematics.
