Grand Prairie, Texas

This week Trinity Basin Preparatory (TBP) welcomed over 3,500 students back to its six campuses across the Dallas Fort Worth Metroplex. As TBP celebrates the beginning of it’s 21st year, it is excited to announce its success from the 2018-2019 school year. TBP is proud to announce that its Academic and Financial Ratings have soared to new heights!

Overall Accountability Rating: A system used by the Texas Education Agency to evaluate the academic performance of Texas public schools. Specifically, this rating system focuses on the following components: Student Achievement, School Progress and Closing the Gaps, which uses data to account for racial/ethnic groups, socioeconomic backgrounds and more.

For the 2018-2019 school year, TBP earned an Overall Accountability Rating of 88%! This is a full nine point improvement from the 79% achieved in the previous school year. For comparison purposes, this year’s 88% measures favorably against the Independent School Districts and Charter School Districts around TBP’s six DFW campuses.

Superintendent Randy Shaffer says, “These are positive scores reflecting the dedication of our employees, and I am personally and professionally proud of the TBP team. As we enter a new year, I know we can continue to get even better, work hard to make sure we continue to improve, and strive for even greater things for the district. I want to thank our staff for their commitment to excellence. I look forward to another great year for the entire TBP Titan family!”
